Cezariusz Cieszyński was born in Rypin in 1968. He began his musical education from playing in a brass orchestra when he was 10. In his primary school he set up a rock band called Block A, in which he played the keyboards and the trumpet as well as sang. Back then he started to compose and arrange his first songs, as a teenager he cooperated with a group named Zakaz (Prohibition) and with a few big bands from Bydgoszcz, it was then when he came in touch with a number of young brilliant musicians, such as Grzegorz Daroń, Krzysztof Herdzin, Marcin Jahr, Wojciech Mrozek, Sławomir Rosiak, and others. In 1987 he won the second prize in the national contest for brass players in Koszalin. He graduated with distinction from the trumpet class of musical secondary school in Bydgoszcz and was admitted to the instrumental faculty of Academy of Music in Warsaw (1987). He graduated from Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw where he gained a degree in philosophy and theology (1996) as well as in fundamental theology (1998) which was a specialist course. In the years 1996-2006 he worked as a teacher of music, fundamental theology and ecumenical theology in Higher Theological Seminary in ŁódĽ as well as an active composer in the Contemporary Christian Music scene. His works include about 150 compositions and arrangements, most of them recorded and published.
For ten years he cooperated with singers, instrumentalists and choir members of the Saruel music group and theatre (e.g. Viola Brzezińska, Adam Rymarz, Marcin Riege, Marcin W±sowski).He liaised with such artists as: Magda Anioł, Wojciech Białoskórski, Beata Bednarz, Sean Clancy, Andrzej Cudzich (+), Marta Florek, Piotr Gogol, Krzysztof Herdzin, Piotr Iwicki, Karina Kalczyńska, Tomasz Kałwak, Tomasz Kamiński, Anna Komorowska - Manijak, Adam Krylik, Bogdan Marciniak, Paweł Markowicz, Mateusz Otręba, Michał Kulenty, Ruth Lynch, Robert Majewski, Cezary Paciorek, Dariusz Plichta, Marcin Pospieszalski, Agata Przygócka, Magda Ptaszyńska, Lucyna Riege, Edward Sosulski, Adam Szewczyk, Sebastian Urban, Steve Wallet, Greg Walton. He was also the art director of so called "papal concerts" in ŁódĽ, during the organization of which he collaborated with actors, children and youth choirs, music students, and musicians of the local filharmonic and musical theatre.
As a continuation and development of previous experience he has entered a new stage of life and work in 2007. He set to a new project "Look into the future", which became his personal attempt to summarise the past and also a step into the new...
Married, with a daughter, currently working as a musician for the Marine Orchestra in Gdynia; conducts a CCM choir in the Pentecostal Church in Tczew as well as a music group in the New Life Christian Centre in Gdańsk.
